Newsletter forms collect your email address, optional name, source details such as UTM parameters, referrer, user agent, timestamp, and IP address used for rate limiting and abuse prevention.

Purchases through Polar may provide us with order, product, customer, license, fulfillment, and support details needed to deliver the paid product, send updates, restore access, and handle buyer support. Polar processes payment details in its checkout.

Hosting, analytics, security, and logging systems may collect device, browser, sanitized page path, request, country or region, sanitized referrer, and sampled performance data. Rybbit uses request network and browser information for session, bot, device, and approximate location handling; NodeBook does not add raw IP addresses to event properties.

The NodeBook iPhone and Android apps may collect your account email and name, an app-generated device identifier, notification token and preference, signed-in reading and practice progress, purchase access, community submissions, and messages you send through the private support conversation. Bookmarks, downloaded chapters, reading display settings, and some progress can also be stored locally on your device.

Analytics never receives email addresses, passwords, session or unsubscribe tokens, license keys, checkout tokens, form contents, copied text, search text, source code, or Raw Mode answers. Session replay, form/copy autocapture, generic click autocapture, and analytics error capture are disabled. Advertising click IDs are reduced to presence flags, and only whitelisted UTM labels are retained.

A random browser identifier is converted to an opaque server-derived analytics ID. Signed-in readers use a separate opaque account ID so activity can be understood across devices. Rybbit may receive the account display name, access tier (free, Digital Edition, or Raw Mode), and the opaque analytics ID; it never receives the PocketBase account ID or account email.

Information is used to deliver the website, send requested emails, manage unsubscribes, fulfill purchases, provide product access, answer support requests, sync signed-in activity, deliver requested reply notifications, understand site and app usage, protect the service, debug errors, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Polar acts as merchant of record for paid orders. Polar collects and processes checkout information, payment information, tax details, receipts, payment reversals required by law, chargebacks, and buyer support related to payment processing.

NodeBook receives purchase records needed for fulfillment, support, accounting, and access management.

The site may use cookies, local storage, and similar browser storage for newsletter popup state, preferences, analytics, security, and checkout-related flows.

Browser settings usually let you clear or block storage. Blocking storage may affect preferences, popups, or checkout behavior.

Information may be processed by service providers used for hosting, analytics, database storage, email/newsletter operations, payment processing, fraud prevention, support, logging, and security.

Current categories include Polar for purchases, PocketBase or related database infrastructure for subscriptions, self-hosted Rybbit analytics, hosting providers, and email delivery tools used for newsletters, purchase delivery, and support. Apple Push Notification Service and Firebase Cloud Messaging deliver app notifications when you enable them.

Information is shared with service providers as needed to run the site and deliver products. Information may also be shared when required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, accounting, professional advice, dispute handling, or business transfers.

NodeBook does not sell your personal information for money.

Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion, subject to backup and legal retention needs. Purchase and accounting records are kept as long as required for fulfillment, support, tax, legal, dispute, and audit purposes.

Server logs and analytics data are kept for periods suited to operations, security, product improvement, and debugging.

You can unsubscribe from emails using the unsubscribe link or by contacting support. You can request access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, or portability where those rights apply under your local law.

Payment-related privacy requests may also need to be submitted to Polar because Polar controls checkout and payment records.

You can stop future NodeBook/Rybbit analytics on this browser below. This clears the active analytics identifier and keeps only the local opt-out choice. To request deletion of analytics already collected, contact support so the opaque identity can be handled with your request.

You can delete a NodeBook account inside either app under You, Security, Delete account. You can also follow the instructions on the support page. Account deletion removes synced progress, practice attempts, submissions, the private support conversation, and registered app devices. Purchase, tax, fraud-prevention, and payment-dispute records may be retained where required. Deleting an account does not cancel an active subscription.

NodeBook uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so report suspected issues to support.

Service providers may process information in countries other than your country. Those transfers happen as part of hosting, analytics, checkout, support, and operations.

The site is intended for software developers and technical readers. NodeBook does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
